Do Compression Bras Work for Large Busts & Plus Sizes? Yes!
When they're built for it from the start, not scaled up as an afterthought. Look for zoned, gradient compression, extra cup support, wide no-slip straps, front closure and wire-free construction. Hugger sizing takes just ONE measurement, with plus and extended fits.
Here's the problem with most compression bras: they're designed for average sizes and then made bigger. Scaling up a small design doesn't scale up the support - it means straps that dig, compression that squeezes everywhere instead of holding where it matters, and coverage that assumes a shape that isn't yours.
Hugger sizing, made simple:
Step 1: Wrap a measuring tape above the chest, under the arms, and around the back - that's your one measurement.
Step 2: Check out our FIT CHART and select your size.
In Between sizes?
- For the HuggerPRIMA, upsize to the nearest size.
- For all other Huggers, downsize.
DD cup or higher?
-
For the HuggerPRIMA and HuggerLUMA, upsize one size for comfort and wearability.
-
Or add an EXTENDER to your HuggerPRIMA.
With 360 seamless zoned, gradient compression, you keep great compression and gain the comfort that makes 24/7 wear actually happen.
One thing we'll say clearly: don't size down for "extra support." A too-small bra doesn't support more - it digs, restricts breathing, and leaves marks. Support comes from design, not tightness.
For high-impact workouts, the HuggerLUMA and the HuggerPRIMA were built especially for large busts and plus sizes - high-to-medium compression, extra cup support, adjustable no-slip straps. Enough hold that one bra is enough.
