# The Bra the Hospital Sent Me Home In Is Uncomfortable - What Can I Switch To?
## You have options :) Your surgeon may send you home in a hospital surgical bra - that's completely normal. When they clear you to switch (always ask first), look for a front-closing, wire-free compression bra with zoned, gradient compression that's comfortable enough to actually live in 24/7.
Compression only works if you actually wear it. A bra that digs, pinches or makes you count down the minutes? You'll want to take it off. And then it isn't doing anything at all.
